Document Preparation
I work with you to create documents that reflect your desires and wishes for today and for when your estate passes to your beneficiaries: Revocable Living Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Heath Care Directives, Assignments and HIPAA Waivers.
Document Review
Does your estate plan need to be updated? Perhaps your minor children are now grown, you want to include grandchildren, you want to give to a charity that you believe in, or your family dynamic has changed and your documents need to reflect those changes. I work with you to update your documents, and review your plan to make sure it takes advantage of new laws.
Consultations
Do you have questions about your estate plan or need an attorney to walk you through your responsibilities as a Trustee of someone else’s trust? I’m happy to sit with you and answer any questions you have and provide information that can aid you in your responsibilities.
Property Transfers
Transferring your assets to your trust is called “funding” and must be done! If your attorney failed to fund your trust, or if you have refinanced or acquired new property without transferring it into your trust, those assets must be retitled in the name of your trust. I will draft a new deed and have it recorded through your county for you.
Notary
As a notary, I am able to complete your documents with you from start to finish. There is no extra expense incurred to bring a notary in for signing, and I do not charge for my notary services on documents which I create.
“I have worked with Kristen Jones on several legal projects and I have referred her to my friends, as well. Kristen is ultra professional, pleasant and very smart. She is wonderful to work with. In the words of that Tina Turner song: she is ‘Simply the Best’!!”
